Friday, October 23, 4-6 pm:
Led Half Primary, and Q&A (2hrs)
Join Tim for a fun and light evening of yoga practice. Moving through the sun salutations and standing postures, we focus on these asanas healing and grounding potential. As we move on into the seated postures, we will allow for occasional dives into select asanas in the pursuit of both anatomical alignment and a practical understanding of Yoga’s deeper intend. All levels welcome.
Saturday, October 24, 10 am-12 pm:
Detailing Second Half of Primary (Badakonasana - Setu Bandhasana) (2hrs)
In this class we focus on the asanas and vinyasas of the latter part of Primary Series. We lean into technical detail and useful hints for moving your practice along, potentially bridging spiritual gaps between your body, the practice and how it applies to our lives off the mat. We will explore anatomical mechanics for a deeper, injury free and more informed practice. Tim's sincere, down-to-earth and humorous teaching style makes for a fun, focussed and reverent morning. All levels welcome.
Saturday, October 24, 2-4 pm:
Gateway Postures of The Primary Series (Bhujapidasana, Kurmasana, Supta Kurmasana)
Sometimes we get a bit stuck! Our leg, shoulders or knees won’t go where we want them to and we feel more achy than happy when attempting the higher notes of our practice, also called the 'Gateway Postures' as they serve as indicators that our body has grown ready for a next level. This workshops addresses that issue! Focussing on technique, proper alignment and anatomical insights will help you understand how your body move and how to progress to a next level of your aptitude. We set up for a detailed experience of the difficult gateway postures, slowly peeling off the layers that obstructs our view and motion required to find true freedom and power within.
Sunday, October 25, 10 am-12 pm:
Primary Series Guided Class
"Just as music without proper pitch and rhythm will not give happiness,
yogasana without the observance of vinyasa will not give health.” - Srivatsa Ramaswama
Join Tim for a fun 2 hours and learn how this challenging sequence can heal and help you in your body and your life. Pattabhi Jois artfully crafted the Primary Series to cleanse our body, purify our nervous system and burn away the delusions of the conditioned mind. The original Vinyasa method (also called ‘placing in a special way’), this thread of unbroken movements, mindful breathing and a defined gazing points, opens us up to experience the meditative mind while building a healthy, flexible and strong body. Discover how many lessons of hope, empowerment and surrender is at our fingertips. All levels welcome.
Sunday, October 25, 2-4 pm:
